Why is there a tax on my electric bill to cover all of the people that dont want to pay their bill? This tax is almost as much as my bill for usage, you cant tell me that every other person is not paying their bill.

Honey, they find a way to raise a little here and there so you don't notice the increments. In Puerto Rico, where I live, they just added 7% to all the other "little" increments. The only options I have are: pay it, go without electricity or convert to solar power (who has extra money to foot that bill).

typically the tax is sales tax. Electricity is subject to sales tax just like everything else that you would buy.
