go to Paradise for ETERNITY.
I believe we all have lessons, I will say SPIRITUAL lessons, to learn as well as to teach.
I believe we are all EXACTLY WHERE WE NEED TO BE at this moment in time, to accomplish some GREATER PURPOSE than we could ever even realize, or fathom.
I believe we are SPIRITUAL BEINGS in a PHYSICAL BODY...
And yet...What is Physical REALLY, but a whole bunch of tiny ATOMS and Molecules, all FLOATING AROUND bumping into eachother...
We are all made up of the same stuff, Matter, so what is the Matter with us all?
Why can't we see the bigger picture?
I mean I am 35 yrs old, and so depressed sometimes I wish I could just get off of this F'd up planet!
and the "S" word was popping into my head last night, I know that's STUPID! But Dangit', this world is no easy place to be.
Some think we are here so we can understand what pain and suffering are, before being called home by GOD to ETERNAL SALVATION in PARADISE.

Personally, I think it's because God has a plan for each and every one of our lives. He cares!
Part of the reason we are here, I believe, is so that we can each be witnesses, and have the opportunity to spend an eternity with Him.
And I think it IS important to pay attention to the bigger picture. I mean, ok...here...I'll try to look at is as someone who doesn't care about God (just trying...I probably won't do that good):
Ok, so life here is pointless - just party and enjoy the ride, right? Well, what if (just throwing an idea in the air) there IS a Heaven, and a New Earth....and you totally miss out on it because you didn't care about God? I mean, not to take the place of God because He can do anything...but....
Some people argue, "well, what if there isn't a Heaven? you've just totally WASTED your life being religious!!!!"
My answer to that is this - if you follow the 10 Commandments, life would actually be much happier. Seriously, think about it. If EVERYONE followed the 10 Commandments...we wouldn't have anything wrong with this world!!
There wouldn't be killing, no lies, no hate, no envy, no rape, no SIN!!! No terrorism....the Trade Center attacks wouldn't have happened...there'd be no war!
And if God and Heaven were actually real, then everyone could be there!!
Wouldn't that be cool?

Wiser heads than mine have pondered these questions, but sometimes a fool may go where sages fear to tread.
Life is not just existence. We are here for a relatively short time (compared to, say, the giant redwoods), so we must make the most of it. Laugh, cry, sing, dance, enjoy, help, worship--all of these are, I think, vital to the life experience. Don't fear feeling, and don't be afraid to stand up for your point of view no matter who disagrees. You run the risk of getting hurt, but a life spent just watching on the sidelines without being involved is hardly living, by my understanding.
I think we're here to try to leave the world a little better place because we were here. It can be something as dramatic as discovering a cure for a deadly illness or as commonplace as giving a kind word to someone who needs it.
So, in summary, I'll leave you with a quote that I wish I could credit, because it's certainly not original with me (though I wish it was :-) !): "Sing as if no one is listening, dance as if no one is watching, and love as if you've never been hurt."

You would probably get a different answer from the same people each day. Sometimes I think we're just a freak of nature. No rhyme or reason, just a cosmic glitch!
