We have a dog and currently have a Bissell vacuum, but it doesn't get the dog hair up easily.
Does anyone have a Dyson? Does it really work?
Any other recommended vacuums???

My friend has a Dyson and she LOVES it! She has pets and said it takes care of the hair and never clogs.

I have the Dyson that is marketed for pets -- it's amazing!!! I have a very, very long haired dog that sheds endlessly. (note to the earlier poster - I brush him daily -- he just has tons of fur).

Anyway the Dyson is great -- I do have to clean off the beater bar every second or third week, but it's not a big deal.

The Rainbow is great too, but it's extremely expensive. I had one for years, but wore the beater bar down. It was such an old model that I couldn't get a replacement bar that fit properly. Great system though -- I'd recommend it, if you can afford one.

I have never heard of a Dyson (maybe we don't have in Canada). However I have a long hair cat that sheds all of the time and to make matters worse the cat is mostly black and my carpets are a light color so really shows up. I bought a Dirt Devil upright vacuum and works like a dream for me and only paid like $60 for it at Wal-Mart. (gotta love Wal-Mart)

The purple Dyson is best. Far and away for shedding pets. Well worth the money.

instead of changing the vacuums, better daily morning combs your dog' hair with a broad com be. i think your problem will be solved because all the hair will fall once at a time and the rest of the day will be with no more dog's hair.

My hoover is excellent. It picks up all the hair. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats. One sheppard and one lab. It does a fine job and I think we only paid about 159.00 for it about 3 years ago.
