Why aren't the people complaining about the war in Iraq, not joining the military so they can do something about it? Why didn't Michael Moore during his movie Fahrenheit 911 not interview people like Sen. Bob Dole, Rep. John Murtha, Sen. Lindsey Graham, or Rep. Steve Buyer when he was asking Congress people to sign up their kids for the military? Maybe because these people were war veterans.

Where and when did you serve? I spent 3 in the Army and 14 months of that in COMBAT in Viet Nam.
PS My oldest Grandson is a PFC in the Marines getting ready to go

Would love to, but I already served 20 years ago, and my knees are kind of shot now.
Would sure love to see liberals sign up to serve their country in the same numbers as conservatives, but we won't hold our breath waiting for liberals to put their money where their mouths are.
