When I first saw the Matrix, I thought it was great, even as a stand-alone movie. When the sequals were announced, I was excited to see more, but when i saw them, I was disapointed, as were others.

Since the main theme and plot of the films were to defeat or stop the machines from destroying Zion, and this was resolved in the last one, I really don't think there is a need for other films.

In fact, because, according to the films, this story runs in a cyclical pattern, it could be retold and have a totally different outcome.

NO!! They should have stopped after the first one, which was awesome. The second 2 were the most worthless movies I've ever seen.
