with the rust and deposits that build up you don't
the casting itself is one piece the only removable parts are the connections and pressure release valve

It depends on if you are planning on keeping the radiator. I was actually able to melt mine into pure iron. I used a home made blow torch: Extract butane into an old oxygen container, modify the nozzel to blow the gas out faster. I melted it all down in about an hour. You will need a good ammount of butane for this, but it's guaranteed to work.
You can also make some cool things out of the melted iron. I made a nice model of a cat.

Make sure if it's connected that you drain the boiler. (VERY IMPORTANT) But the guy who came to my house used two pipe wrenches and a lot of elbow grease. If you aren't completely sure of what you're doing get a professional.
