I want to Compress my Hardrive
Will this do any damage???

do not compress the windows folder...!!!

Compression software was popular many years ago. It rapidly fell out of favor as it took resources, the computer ran slower and the cost of larger hard drives dropped considerably. There is no need to compress a hard drive these days. If you need more space just either buy a larger drive or drop in another one as a secondary. If you don't want to open the box, use an external drive.

Good day. I suggest u dont do it cause system files and other important program files may not worl correctly if u compress those files causing windows to crash. I suggest files that u want to compress, put all in one folder then compress them. Laterz!

Any time you need to read from or write to a compressed file, your system will have to uncompress it. If you compress a lot of data, it can drag your system down to a crawl. Also, never compress system files.
