In a relationship permission is MUCH better. I sets boundaries. Forgiveness means you already did something the other person things was wrong. At that point, you maybe forgiven but it won't be forgotten.

Depends on the situation. At work, I do whatever I think is right even if it means drawing outside the lines. I'd rather create a brilliant but crazy idea thats outside the norm then ask the ok to do it and never get it off the ground. So I always prefer forgiveness.
With the Wife, I ask permission. If we're to the forgiveness phase she's already beyond human, and thats not happy for anyone.

If you have to ask forgiveness for something that you know you should have asked permission for, you are being selfish.
If you question whether something you are about to do is going to hurt or upset your partner, ask permission instead of doing it without any concern for the persons feels whom you are SUPPOSED to love.
The only time you should ever have to ask forgiveness is when you hurt or upset someone with something you were unaware would cause ill feelings.
To intentionally do something that you know will hurt another person is selfish and deserves no forgiveness.

Permission is better because you don't have to be sorry later, but forgiveness is easier because you don't have to worry about being denied permission in the first place.

You should not seek permission to do something after which you need forgiveness.
Seeking permission is better but a wrong word/act may not be forgiven. Please see the movie "Indecent Proposal".

It's becos you wronged that person and he has aright to whether to forgive you or not since you wronged him/her.so you have to ask for permission for his forgiveness and if he doesn't it's his choice not yours ,yours is to ask. why?- because if you want to be forgiven ,unless you don't want to be forgiven.
