I don't just 'happen' to get drunk - it's meticulously planned.

No..You don't "happen" to get drunk just like you don't "happen" to get drunk all the other 364 days in the year.
It's all depends on how the celebration going. If you are a friend's house maybe... or if you are at your mate's family house then NO you don't want the family thinks you have a drinking problem and be on your back the rest of the year about it. ...lol..
And then there YOU do YOU want to get totally flat-out fall down drunk or just wants to have a buzz going feel good kind of thing. And how do you want to handle the next day with or without a hangover?? Are you going to work or not??
Can you face anybody or anything after a night of drinking and not regretted?
Drunk or Sober just makes sure that you don't drive and kill anybody that night. Please. :-)

Not every New Year's Eve, but the ones that I did get drunk were planned in advance.

I don't really celebrate New Years, for some reason I never really have. If I was at a party though, i'm pretty sure i'd be drinking. Getting drunk? Depends how the party's going I think.

I dont happen, it is the norm on New Year's Eve. What better way to celebrate another year than to get wasted.

Never have, never will. Don't see the point. I'd rather have my senses about me when I'm celebrating the events and accomplishments of the previous year of my life and the lives of those I love and respect, and welcoming whatever the new year will bring.

Depends .. If you just set your mind to getting crazily drunk then no.. If someone spikes your drink them yes you could just happen to get drunk...

No i don't get wasted on new years! Just get a little buzz going on, then i know that is when it is time to stop! I love party on news years though!
