I just want to burn a few songs onto a CD but don't know how.

How to burn a CD?

You can use a number of programs, the easiest of which for you would probably be just the CD burning tool included in Windows XP. You can select your music files and choose to "send them to CD". Then you open the blank CD from "My Computer" and click "burn files to CD". It will do it all by itself. You can also use programs such as Nero or Roxio, which have step-by-step guides. I think that Windows Media Player also has a tool that can do that.

best to use (media player), just put the songs you want, to library.
then its just a matter of burn to disc.
#assuming you have a cd writer???
