I am seriously asking this question. My husband seems fit overall but has a round belly. Do men just tend to store fat around their waist? His belly's not pudgy and soft (like mine) but more hard. Is it a sign of some sort of condition?

Ok, I'm aware that it's probably fat, but why is it hard and round and not soft and squishy??

Men store fat in different places. Also I read someplace that men's fat is denser than women's.

Unfortunately for we men, it is quite natural to store fat in the "tummy" area. Women have the same tendencies in the hips or thighs, or (shudder) both. A proper diet and a regular exercise routine can hole that round belly at bay, but it takes time and discipline.

Eat more, you lack muscle-tone, and from the sound of it testosterone. Also, go play a sports(a power-sport like boxing would be really good), or dance, whatever you like, you need to be active to build up muscle, you do need to eat enough, to keep building up though. Basically it's time to stop eating like a kid, and start eating like a man. That way you can build up and get fit, which'll leave everybody happy.

Men's skin/fat is firmer than women's. Have you ever noticed that most women tend to bruise easily when the bump into things and men rarely bruise.
As far as men go, they tend to gain weight in their midsection and women tend to gain weight in their hip area.
Everyone is genetically different. Some people gain weight easily and others never gain weight. As we age our bodies metabolism slows down and we tend to gain weight more easily than when we were young.

it could be from beer or muscle and fat stored in his belly. the fat makes it big but muscle makes it hard.
