I am of so many races that I couldn't pretend to be another race if I wanted to since I am a lot of races. I don't see myself as one race or another but as a person and as an American.

There are different races and that´s a fact, but I think racism is weaker all over the world than a hundred years ago. (think of U.S.A. - South Africa - Germany) and every time is harder to classify somebody as part of only one race, so the people you are talking about are losing arguments daily.

Lack of respect for themselves and for other people. Maybe they weren't hugged enough as kids. As long as they get a response be it good or bad, they're encouraged by the attention. It's a waste of time and energy to even try to understand why some people are so stupid so don't bother. Be proud of who you are and what you do because for every great person, there's a dozen idiots who wish they were more like you. Take care.

I also didn't realize that people did this. I don't think anyone secretly wants to be another race permanently. I think it is a certain level of immaturity coupled with insecurity. Alot of so called racists have many issues within themselves and so they project their anger and insecurities off onto other people.

They are extremely immature, bigoted, and even racist people. I'd like to believe they are underage, so I could blame it on their youth, but they are probably just as likely to be adults. They are the Internet's equivalent to prank callers. I report whatever bigoted/racist writing see. I don't give them the satisfaction of replying with a comment to their posts. That's what prank callers want too--a reaction. I just report them and hope they will be removed soon by the Yahoo Answers team.

sometimes it's just the way they were brought up- My parents always taught me not to say things like that and always had friends of different races and religions, but some of my friends were not brought up that way. Their parents didn't allow them to have black or spainish etc, friends and always made deogatory remakes about people of different races or religions, so now thats exactly what their children do.
Ignorance pure and simple, people are afraid of what they don't know or understand. I usually tell them that i don't appreciate their comments- and I don't care what they do when they are not around me but when they are around me and they want to remain my friend I would appreciate it if they would not say things like that in front of me becuase it offends me, and they stop.

I dont think a race war would be started ....I think "LaTronda" and all his/her questions are ignorant, repulsive and offessive...They must be insecure cuz I just dont get it..I wish I could explain it and I hope that black people dont think all white people are racist idiots because of one person.

I agree with you. I am disturbed by the questions that are like "when the WHITE wife or the MEXICAN wife" makes no sense. We wonder why ther id war. We all need to get along.

I think they just want to stir up trouble somewhere that they can be invisible. I doubt very much they go out and say those things in the real world.
