Do you listen to music at work that others may find offensive?

My boss doesn't care about the music I choose to listen to at work but I could never play anything that would be offensive to him in any way. We listen to a lot of jazz type music, that way we don't worry about anyone who may come to the office or overhear the music over the phone. I think it shows a great lack of professionalism to listen to offensive, vulgar music at your place of employment.

Yeah, but we all did because I worked at a record store. My boss was the worst. He used to put on Insane Clown Posse and laugh hysterically (I admit I laughed too). He often played the Geto Boys self titled album. The worst was when he found a sound effects CD of 'sex noises' and he blasted it while customers were trying to shop. We had outdoor speakers that played the music on the sidewalk at the same time. No one seemed to care but he embarrassed me sometimes.

I listen to what ever I want even if the band is growling about killing people. It's my desk, my music and I dare someone to stop me. However, I don't play it too loud. I know that just because I like it others might not.

I work in a bank and my boss is my age and plays rap and hip hop sometimes so yeah I have more of a problem then she does.

you should have it on headphones...why would it matter? You shouldn't play it loud..thats the whole point in a personal stereo!
