Four Palestinian missiles fired from Gaza early Thursday, seven Wednesday. No one hurt. That makes over 40 since the ceasefire went into effect. But only Israel has ceased firing.

The last three missiles detonated on the Israeli side of the Sufa crossing into Gaza and south of Ashkelon.

The first landed near Mefalsim, the second and third in Sderot and Kibhutz Erez. PM Ehud Olmert said in Jerusalem that Israel cannot stay passive much longer in the face of these attacks. More than 40 missiles have been fired at Israeli civilian locations since the purported ceasefire declared by Palestinian armed groups last month.

When will the Israelis act responsibly and fight back?

The Jews got the Mandate for Palestine set up for the express purpose of establishing the Jewish National Home, which would inexorably become, all parties realized, in time a Jewish state. It did not seem wrong then, and does not seem wrong now, that the Jews should have a state of their own. They asked only for the right to have no barriers put up to their immigration, and no barriers put in the way of their buying land. That was it. That was the sum total of what they demanded.

Until the 1948 war, when five Arab armies attacked, not a single dunam of Arab-owned land (and remember that nearly 90% of the land, in any case, remained the possession of the state or the ruling authority, as in the Mandatory period) was appropriated. No one should dare to write about this subject without having done the research on demography, land ownership, and law.

The Israeli claim to the West Bank (as Judea and Samaria were carefully renamed by Jordan after 1948, in precisely the same way.

Jakepi would bring us back to the era when our enemies would kill Jews and no one would fight back. Today, the Islamic terrorists attack and plan to attack Israel and Israelis at will, including firing missiles and sending suicide bombers.

These murderous Arabs must be eliminated before they murder more Israelis--this is called being a ticking bomb. That is not called nonsense like "killing some poor Palestinian or Arab Islamic person somewhere!" It's called self-defense!

First, Israel needs to change its government structure to one based on the US government.
The people of Israel deserve to have elected representatives responsible to the people who elect them, and not to party bigwigs as the case is now.
The people can then put a government in place to protect the country.

Israel isn't a terrorist state. No topic how so much you disagree with them (and I do too) they don't seem to be a terrorist state. Their movements although... Anyway, they are going to be unpunished because the USA will give up whatever. The EU are commencing an research and complete of Europe is in surprise and worrying movements. The UN gets into this too and I wish that they're going to do some thing for as soon as. Kathy - No, the ones are the movements of humans seeking to safeguard themselves from piracy in worldwide waters. The IDF squaddies have been armed to their enamel. Kathy - The convoy did not assault. They have been attacked. Understand?

Some of what you see (or actually are not seeing) can also be the result of clandestine operations against the terrorists.

It is always better to quietly eliminate your opposition without revealing it to the press, so you can get to your second target and take them out without warning.

I know the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had their noses bloodied in the recent conflict for a number of reasons beyond a tactical control of the situation. Hopefully Cabinet Ministers are working hard to remove these limitations so the IDF can once again enjoy the relative ease of combat flow that are traditionally known for.

I look at it like this , If someone came in and stole my home , my land , my farm , my water...I would not think it unreasonable to try to protect my family using any means possible .

As a mother I would not want to survive after my home had been demolished with my children inside , desperate people do desperate things .

The IDF make the civillians in Israel targets by insisting on using public transport to get the from A -B ......Then they scream that it is the civillians being targeted , yet they forget their military presence on the bus is the usual target ,

You cannot play with fire and not expect to get burned .

There is indeed a problem here, whereby the Americans and and the British are trying to sacrifice Israel to get out of Iraq.

But a strong Israeli government can withstand this pressure, if only there will be such a government.
