I had to giggle at this one, as i am pregnant with a girl and my six year old INSISTS i name her Julian. I told him that was more for a boy, but he really wants me to use that name. I like it too, but no boy here this time!. I don't think it's too common either!!!
But I know a six year old who would say go for it!!!

Julian is a good name. It is not overly used like John or Justin. But, it is a normal name. I like names like that. Something common but not too common. I don't know anyone named Julian, but a guy on my soap opera is named that. I think it is a unique name that won't get made fun of for being too different. Good selection!

I am 37 weeks pregnant with a boy and we originally picked out the name "Julian" but then my hubby decided on "Dominic". I like the name "Julian", but that it my opinion as a woman, my husband said it is almost girly and as man, he wouldn't want the name and would prefer something more "manly". I have no idea what the difference is... but that is a guys opinion and it's our first son so I decided he could choose the first name... for the most part. Go0d Luck! :o)

I love Julian, but yes, it is becoming increasingly common. It's number 74 in the U.S. right now, and that's up about fifty places from the mid-nineties. Would you consider a less common -ian name similar to Julian, like Lucian, Fabian, Dorian or Davian?

Go for it... I have always liked that name for a boy... after 8 yrs of marriage we finally have a 10 mo. baby boy by the name of Julian... Everyone around us loves the name..... His first name is Diego... middle is Julian, but everyone calls him Julian

I like that name my name is Jillian and when I was pregnant with my first child, which I later found out I was having a girl... but anyway Julian was one of the possibilities for a boy.
