Going some place else - daughter's house.

With ten grown children and seventeen grandchildren, and spouses / significant others - there will be something on the order of thirty-five people. Far too many people to fit in my studio apartment!

By next year there will be at least one more grandchild and possibly a great grand child or two.

I was once told that God did not mean my wife and I had to do it all by ourselves when he said, "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth." But we gave it our best shot anyway. [Grin]

For those who say we were selfish, I reply, selfish is few or no children - you have NO IDEA of the sacrifice involved. To those who holler "over population" I reply, "HOG WASH” IF not for greed, the USA could feed the whole world -

To those who say, "Drain on the social system" I ask, just WHO, do you suppose, is going to pay the taxes to support YOUR social security retirement benefits? (Keep in mind that the government has already squandered MY contributions and YOURS AS WELL!)

So, yeah, going some place - where I can indoctrinate seventeen young kids that they need to study and learn to read and write and do "ciphers" so they can earn their living with their minds instead of their hands (modified from an engraving on the statue of the court scribe, in the tomb of the Egyptian King Remises II [I think it was]. – Check out the special features of The Ten Commandments on CD for verification.)

This will be my first Christmas where I will stay at home by myself. But I do plan on visiting my two sisters in Vegas right after Christmas. We are meeting there to celebrate our birthdays which are all a week apart from each other.
Usually I spend Christmas with either my son or daughter.

Friends will be popping round on Christmas day for some cheer!

MH, I wish you and your family and friends a wonderful Christmas!

My First time is this year. I usually host Easter but my house after Christmas morning is a disaster. At least it's family and they don't really care if I screw everything up.

Christmas is at my father-in-law's this year, which is what we've done for the last six years. This year he's having two Christmas dinners because some of the family can only be here for a few days. More food for me! ;)

I do some of each. I go to my Mother's family on Christmas morning for brunch, then host my family for dinner in the afternoon. It is a full day!

I'm having a cookie-making party tomorrow. Christmas Eve I will visit my friend at her mother's house during the day and going to my mom's to celebrate Christmas in the evening. Christmas morning I go to my dad's house and in the afternoon I go to my aunt's to see the whole extended family. PHEW!

I'm heading to my sister's house tomorrow. We'll do Christmas there Friday night........ then I'll head back home on Saturday to get everything ready for Christmas Eve at my house. When you have kids... I don't know... it just so needs to be at your own home!!

So we go to their grandparent's house on Christmas Eve and eat and drink and be merry...... then head off to the candlelight service at church. Then home to get the kids all nustled in all snug in their beds so that Santa can then come visit. I host several people for a Brunch on Christmas Day.

Btw..... have a wonderful first Christmas in your new home! That has GOT to be special!!! Have a good one!
