customers if they have a seeing eye dog with them, as they say the dogs are unclean, and that they would have to clean their cabs seven times if they did pick them up.....this just shows me the insanity of religious belief, can anyone else see this..

Sadly, it is true. I believed that happened in Australia...

Personally, a job is a job... if taking up the job means contradicting your religious life, then look for another job!

If your religion does not permit you to touch liquor, don't work in a restaurant! if you can't touch dogs, don't work as a cab driver.

I was told that the Koran DOES NOT even mention to stay away from dogs... In the Koran, it is mentioned that dogs are protectors.

_A_ muslim taxi driver did this. Once. And he got fired for doing it. Do the actions of ONE Muslim mean that 100% of Muslims think this?

You don't know whether he refused to take the dog because of his religious beliefs, or if he just thought the dog was going to mess up his car. Even if he DID do it because of his religious beliefs, does that mean I can judge all other religions based on the action of one complete nutter? Alrighty - 100% of Christians like to bomb buildings in Oklahoma.

I can't be live that in this world are such things, like you said. I'm 100% sure that this thing is related to the Muslim religion. I don't know why they are so superstitious. Wake up taxi drivers!!! You will not die or get to the hospital if you take a blind person in your car!!! Let's not exaggerate!!!

I have no idea if this is true or not, but if it is they are violating the Americans With Disabilities Act. The dog is considered an extension of the person by American law, so if they do this, they could lose their licenses, be fined, and possibly even do some jail time.

I think it's illegal for them not to pick up blind customers with or without dogs.
