I had to write one about my father in law.
Just wriite how long you and he have known one another and how well you and he get along. your relationship with him and how it is.
you can speak of his credibility like he is a good man, good father (if that applies) and if he does an honest days pay, brings home his check toyou to pay the bills. etc.
the judge just wants to know how he is in his every day life. is this for sentencing? if you don't mind me asking? if so, he wants to know how good of a person he is, and it could take some biasness (sp) of how long he will be in prison for or what have you.
good luck.

I don't exactly know what type of letter you are wanting to write. First of all be honest. Write about the integrity of your husband, how he has provided for his family, how he contributes to the community and the church. If he participates in organization or helps in youth programs. If you are trying to show his credibility, just take a paper and jot down all the good things he does and throw in a few names that could verify some of them. Then write your letter based on the things you have jotted down. Good luck.

State that you have no clue how he got himself into whatever the problem is and that it must have been because of his drug abuse problem related to his teen aged girlfriend..
