A characteristic of sociopaths is the lack of conscience, as someone else already stated. Therefore, if the lies are needed to manipulate or develop an image they wish to portray, then hell yes.

maybe yes--cause if they are sociopaths(offensive)---then i think they could be pathological (extreme)liars.

absolutely. sociopaths are the scariest...they have no conscience.
