I think i might have missed the first half of this....was there a specific idiot you had in mind?
Not knowing this makes it hard to format a valid responce!
lets say for now that the idiot will no doubt follow his beliefs after retirement as beliefs are what make up a large part of our identity and dont tend to change much after we hit middleage.
Unless of course the idiot is also a man or woman blessed with hypocracy..in which case one neverknows whether vested interest will win out or true belief prevail.
