Well, my friend..as in every other country ( i suppose) the big towns are better to be seen during this period!! Athens is not an exception..The best thing to suggest is WALKING...u can take a walk in Ermou street where u can shop, you should definetely enjoy the view of Acropolis from Plaka and Thisio, and have fun participating in the events that take place in Syntagma Square..And a tip: avoid going in Omonia square (increased presence of homeless people and drug addicts)

During daytime there are several shopping centers and streets to walk in. It's tradition here to walk ERMOU street in Christmas.
And for the nights, consult someone to visit BOUZOUKIA. Any bouzoukia you think you'll like. Bouzoukia are entertainment centers with live traditional modern Greek music...
There you will experience a genuine way of night entertainment that Greek people choose and you will se why Greek people are believed to be knowers of having a good time...
