You and all your friends need to have a friendly intervention in a private place where no adults are around or allowed where only you, your friends, and this friend is.
You all need to honestly tell her how much she's changed from the person you all know to being depressing, explain to her that you're not telling this to hurt her but to help her, and how much you need her to come back to life. Have each of your friends write a letter to her explaining what she means to them. You need to be the mediator of this intervention and write some sort of promise to her, have all your friends repeat this (something like the things you'll discuss won't leave the room unless it's a real emergency) to make her feel really comfortable.
After you guys finish reading your notes & ask her to tell you the truth about what's going on no matter what it is.
E-mail me by clicking on my pic on her progress, I want to know how it turns out.

Most probably she may have family financial problem ?
Normally is a teenager family suddenly have financial problem, they may feel extremely down and feel shame to share especially she from rich turn to poor..I'm not giving negative, this is reality.
Or if she have brother or sister you can try to talk to them maybe you can get sources from them.

Has anything happened to cause her to be unhappy? If not, it could be depression. She should get help from a psychiatrist, or talk to her parents about it if she is under 18. Untreated depression can lead to other problems as it worsens, so it's best she gets help ASAP.

set a good example... dont focus on her drama, she may be doing it for attention.

talk to her parents, and your teachers and counselors

people need serious professional help with clinical depression it is not something an untrained pal could fix even with the best of intentions

Maybe you and your friends ought to talk to her and if that doesn't do any good-talk her parents--and don't stop until you get your friend the help she needs.

Ask her what is wrong and start doing stuff with her. Maybe she feels left out of the group. thanks for not leaving her behind

You need to talk to her. It is the only way to find out.
