Anytime is a good time, if the job is not right for you. As long as you are set up with another job, or at least stable financially, you can do it.

I am a manager and have this happen sometimes where people are wanting to move on, some in a good way, some not. Just make sure you are set up. Its best to give 2 weeks notice, but some managers and businesses do not deserve that, if they don't treat you well, you don't have to treat them well either.

So, it is a judgement call on you - if you are ready to do it, do it.

Plus, as a manager, from my view, a person who wants to quit but is still working for me, they don't do their job well because they are already walking out the door and don't care about the company and can make mistakes or purposely do something, not caring. Know what I mean?

So you gotta "sh_t or get off the pot" so to speak.

Hope this helps, not meaning to be mean or anything with this answer, just giving it to you from both sides.

No, no, no, and no. This is the worst time of year to quit your job. If you are depending on unemployment think again, they will NOT pay you if you quit just because you're tired of working for that employer or even if you think they are not treating you fairly. It was somewhat irresponsible to quit a job and decide to take a 3 month break unless you know for sure that you have more than enough money saved up to pay all of your bills and to feed yourself. Good luck in trying to get another job, because if I were an employer interviewing you and you told me that you quit right before x-mas and decided to take a 3 month break from working, I sure would NOT hire you, how would I know that you wouldn't pull the same thing on me!

Best time if you can find another one straight away, work two days and then have holidays! I'm dying to quit my job but I also want to put it off. I did the same last year. Still there and still thinking the same thing! Do it if it is what you want. There will always be someone looking for a worker who just had someone like us quit and are understaffed. Get out if you hate it and good luck. Merry Xmas.

It really depends upon the situation, doesn't it?

However, it would be inadvisable because [1] leaving friends in the season of cheer would border on being rude and insensitive; [2] would send the wrong message to your ex-employers who could take it as an insult and retaliate; and [3] because the Festive Season is not when Recruitments are planned.

Usually, this would mean that you'll have at least a couple of months of unemployment, at best, when you'll need to [a] either take out of your savings or[b] go on the dole; neither of which are a pleasant prospect.

You might also want to consider the fact that future Employers would view you as a callous person who is probably anti-Religious and that's the least kind of person anyone wants to hire.

Merry Christmas!!!!

I would say "no". It's going to be hard to find another job this time of year because a lot of people are on vacation, including H.R. people, so I wouldn't think that a lot of places would be focused on hiring. Plus, if you get paid holidays at your current job, why not take advantage of that and wait until after the first of the year to quit? If things are slow at work, you could take this opportunity to work on your resume and start scouting around to see what your options are.

Not at all, because some of the slowest months companies have are January, February and March. That means that they will not be hiring again until business starts to pick back up in mid-April. Try to stick it out until you have another job secured.

After you get your bonus check is the BEST time to quit bc you have an excuse, you didnt like what you saw on your bonus check. You boss will probly want to give you a raise to keep you if you do good at work and you are a hard worker. Thats what my dad did. And if they dont want to keep you, then they wont have hurt feelings bc they think that they gave you a bad bonus check...lol.

Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!

No. When you quit your job during Christmas time, you will be totally broke after Christmas after you do all your shopping for family and friends.

No, quit in or just before the summer. You don't want to go to the beach in the winter...
