Winter is just part of the cycle. I've lived in L.A. and in Florida but I always keep coming back to NY. New York for me is more like real life. Sometimes you're up (Summer), sometimes you're down (Winter), but it's all just part of life. Sometimes it has to rain so you can enjoy the sunshine.
And if you've ever gone on a walk through the woods after it snows you know just how beautiful untouched snow can be on a starry night. That of course is assuming you live somewhere that it snows. If none of this helps try changing the light bulbs in your house. If you get the plant growing light bulbs from a Home Depot type store they are known for helping people deal with Seasonal Depression.

I am in the middle of a blizzard in Colorado Springs. The city is in a state of emergency. This would not have bothered things a bit back in the 70's but now we are all a bunch of *******, work was called off, and I get to stay home so that is a great thing. I think I will put on my favorite nightgown and lounge around all day.

The whole atmosphere!
I love the cold, rainy, snowy weather...
I love returning back home and sit by the fireplace with a fine glass of red wine.
Having friends at home, playing cards....
Besides it's Christmas and my birthday in winter!!!

I don't care for it either, but if I had to name one good thing it would be how pretty everything looks when cover in white especially when there is a light and fluffy snow falling.

It's followed by summer! I hate winter too even though we don't get much of it here in the Florida panhandle.

Watching my granddaughter's face when she sees it, other than that, I can't think of a single thing. I complain about it, yet here I sit in New Hampshire, like it's ever going to be warm here in the winter...!!!
