I'm considering building a nuclear power station in my back yard.

Now I'm aware there is much buaracracy involved in obtaining fissile material.

So would you recommend I source it from N. Korea; a new entrant to the market, Iran; established player now, or wait for the enevitable flow of it out of China; once we build their stations, get them up and running and leave 'em to it!

I mean, if a country can market body-parts from living prisoners, surely suppplying fissile material is WAY DOWN the list of ethical don't-do's?

Or are there any spys with anything left over out there?

It is extremely unlikely you possess anywhere near the technical expertise or equipment to build your own power station, it takes a lot more than just sourcing uranium. I doubt the authorities will see you as any type of threat to anything, especially not comedy.

the trouble with this approach is that the quality control on their fissile materials is useless, and shipping it back for a refund is just a pain. my advice would be to avoid these suppliers, their goods will only be suitable for making a dirty bomb, not for any practical purpose.

I do believe sushi bars are an ideal source of the material you need.

Best of luck.

Don't forget to adher to building regulations.

no outline planning permission is needed, carry on.

ensure you leave adequate parking for the workers, we don't want any car bumps. There - thats your risk assessment done ( no charge )

also, please be aware this may take longer than you think, so don't be too disappointed if you have to take the first day in 2007 off work to finish it.

I built one last week, its pretty simple. You just need some wood, a bag of cement, some chicken wire and a few nails. I think I`ll do a space ship next.
