You always have to think positive because otherwise all the bad things are coming to you, but of course it doesn't mean that if you think positive everything you want will be yours... Never desperate if something doesn't happen, but keep on thinking positive and you life will be better...

No. I was in the Army, and after I had hurt my spine in an accident, I was discharged. I waited for six months, until I was healed, and then reenlisted, more motivated than I ever have been in my entire life. One of my discs slipped and pinched my spinal cord, and I was discharged again, this time permanently.
If you try hard and stay focused, you'll have much better chances at getting what you want, though. If I had stayed in the second time and kept my positive outlook on things, I'm sure I would have made a fine example of what a soldier should be.

I believe in the power of positive thinking, but not for what you mentioned just now. For example, if you are very ill and are about to die soon, if you strongly believe that you won't die and will get better, then it is possible that you won't die.
But for what you described, about wanting something a lot and getting it just by believing that you will, is not true. If you want something in life you have to work hard to get it, and don't give up, and at some point you wil succeed in whatever you want to get or whatever you are trying to do.

Positive thinking has to be combined with positive action to be totally effective. Yes, I have numerous experiences in my life including the community group that I established, the house that my wife and I bought, the family that we've created,...

Yeah, you know, I've found this to happen quite often to me. I kept thinking about something I wanted and my body or my mind automatically took steps to getting what I wanted. For example, there is this girl I like, I couldn't stop thinking about her, and somehow she ended up liking me. Something I must have done must have sparked her interest. Now, I'm working on getting a relationship started. Similar thing happened in college - I wanted to get really good grades, and my mind and body took steps to doing so. If you truly want something to happen, your body will automatically make it happen. We feel disappointment if someone or something stops it from happening.

A positive attitude is essential to success - but don't let it stop there. Let it influence your actions...and make your dreams come true. Wishing something would happen means you are sitting back and waiting for someone else to do it for you. Make it happen for yourself...fuelled by positive energy and thoughts.

A positive attitude is good. But it won't always get you what you want. If it is up to you, then a positive attitude will definately get you there. If the answer depends on someone else, then you have to depend on them too, not just your attitude.
