does tea leave reading really work?

good answers,well,read the question again,thanks to all those who jumped straight in and presumed i was stupid.very amusing.calling me gullible and assuming i had waisted money.the reason i put this question up was i saw a reading cup and saucer in town selling for 15.00.
surely if you could read tea leaves,any cup would do?

it does work. sometimes the reading is better then others, you can never tell. if you get a chance to get a reading i would, they are very good.

Tea leaf reading is a very old form of divining and some old ladies can read leaves. its not practiced much today because technology gave us tea bags!! And you are right any old cup with a brewed tea out of a tea pot will do. I had mine read once and there was a do at the rim (the closer the pictures are to the rim the sooner the event will occur) there was a shape of a dog, a shape of a car. I bought a dog and a car within a few weeks of the reading. You believe or you dont but those gimmicks are just gimmicks. Find a gypsy fortune teller and drink brewed tea and you might see some interesting things.

yes a small china cup will do.the type u get with a saucer .does have to be china tho.i read the tea leaves and its amazing what u can see.i was and am in practice but as long as its a china cup with a saucer theres no need to fork out 15.oo.also earl greay is the best to be read with x

Yes, there are a number of things like this, but there is nothing in the leaves, it's just a way of connecting to the spirit world using a tool, such as leaves, cards, clouds, even flowers.

i belive the tea leaves are something for the eyes to focus on while the mind wanders. most "witches" of the past were simply intelligent women with a good knowledge of herbal and other medicines, they were midwife and undertaker and some of them had learnt that in the same way we can see into the past, we can see into the future. but it is not an exact science, and people want to hear tall dark stranger sh1t so mostly what they were told was made up. why would tea leaves know anything about the future? who would tell them anything? same with tarot cards why would cardboard know anything about the future?, its just something for the eyes and hands to do while the mind wanders, and so the person the reading is for feels like something mystic is happening :)

and to ivan, if anything in this world is the "devil's work" its the catholic church. your pope is gods messenger on earth right? then why does he need a bulettproof pope mobile, surely god wouldnt let his spokesperson on earth come to any harm, most christians i know and have met are so self rightious and judgemental, full of fear and guilt put in them by the bible and its teachings, telling us to feel guilty for being the way god made us, for sexual feelings, for beliving in dinosaurs (apparently god put the fossils here to test our faith!!)thats what fundamentalist christians believe! that the world is 12,000 years old. they looked at all the people in the bible and added up all their ages, 12,000 years. dinosaurs didn't exist cause they are not in the bible, god put the fossils here to test our faith!!. and if priests are so holy how come the are so full of sexual abuse, if celebicy is right for them, like god says it is? and didnt jesus say yo do not need a building o worship me, yet the chuch tells us we need to give money for the upkeep of the building o dont need and the preists jesus also said you dont need, i belive he said somehing along the lines of you can pray direcly to me you dont need a middle man, and if preists are so generous why do the take yor money that could go to people in need instead of working and supporting themselves? preists used to have power when they were the only ones that could read, then people needed them to read fom the bible, and by not teaching people to read the preists kept themselves in a pretty cosy position. as the population learnt to read, they convinced us they were there to interperate to word of god. now that sounds like a con artist to me!!!

Tea leaves, fire scrying, crystal balls, tarot cards, et al.. these are all tools for those who practice divination to connect with Spirit.. the tool is nothing more than a focus point for the practioner. It definitely works.

As for those who would insult you, consider the source and don't let them upset you. 1. They don't know you. 2. Those who feel the need to insult others and their beliefs have serious issues with their own self-esteem. Feel sorry for them but don't take anything they write to heart.

It all depends on what the questioner believes. My paternal grandmother used to do it for fun, but her friends found her readings very accurate, and offering her money for such readings, so she stopped doing it, because people were relying on her too much.

I believe that tea leave reading does work. I have a friend who had her tea leaves read and they also recorded the reading for her; she says everything that they've told her has come true up until this point. I plan to try it myself.

No... it's just a prop', a focus for the reader... though everyone has psychic tendencies, most people shut them out by too much concern and greed about material things... it impedes their personal spiritual progress... everyone can 'tune' a little, but as they develop their psychic side, they'll tune much faster, especially, when they value other people, before themselves, and materialism
