If they work in Harley st London does that make them better qualified and more experienced than those not working in Harley st and are working in clinics in Manchester such as Transform medical group?

It just means they can charge more. I went to Harley Street for a medical and it was laughable. I live in Manchester and healthcare here is much friendlier and more efficient. That's just my opinion.

Quite often not a lot - except the fees they charge! .... Many of these doctors don't/can't offer any different help and assistance .... but their fees reflect their 'Harley Street' address ... which came about way back in Dickensian England when only the rich could afford proper doctors .... where 'proper' doctors trained in the hospitals nearby .... so they could be close to their work....
Today the reputation of Harley Street is still there, along with the prestige of the address, but the practitioners are often no different - and in some cases may not even be qualified to practice in the areas they advertise in but just about all access this address because they can afford the rents on a room or a floor in this area of London - obviously paid for by their patient's fees and remunerations .....
If you're looking for a 'good' doctor and concerned about their skills and expertise, then check out where they trained and where they've practiced since qualifying - check out the Royal College of Surgeons for further reassurance if you want to .... this will give you the information you really need and would be better to rely on than an address .....

No, not necessarily. There are cowboys everywhere and I wouldn't recommend Transform either. They are just a middleman and charge ridiculous prices. Once I went to Transform in Harley Street and saw a doctor regarding rhinoplasty. The following week I went slightly out of London and saw the same doctor in a private hospital and the cost was about £500-£1000 cheaper for the same procedure!

I recommend looking for a highly skilled doctor for the type of surgery you are looking for and beware of adverts in magazines. The best doctors don't need to advertise.

I have posted links below to a couple of UK cosmetic surgery websites, which both have very helpful message boards. HTH : )

Nothing at all. Harley Street is just a set of very expensive offices: anyone who can afford them can rent them.

Some people who have clinics there - eg for laser tattoo removal - aren't even licenced to practice medicine in this country. There have been attempts to form a committee of long-established practitioners to vet potential tenants: but in the end, money talks.

there is not any massive difference in any respect, basically Harley is the position all the celebrities bypass. i wanted liposuction on my thighs very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days & went for a consultation with remodel in Bristol, they were basically as specialist as some thing else of them. The doctor who actual talked me out of the conception replaced into the doctor who performed Jordan's well-loved Boobs, so Harley is not any diverse in any respect, except possibly the cost. desire this facilitates.

Harley Street is where the private clinics are based. They are not necessarily better at their job, but they certainly get paid a lot more.

the only difference is the pay bracket.

they all do the same training and then go into specialising - depending on what area they choose as to how much they can earn at the end.

also helps if they know a few celebs to become their patients!!

The main difference is probably the amount of money they charge and the status they enjoy...
