If so what did you think of it?
Incidentally it's my favourite book ever.

It's about a woman who goes back in time through a Scottish equvalent of Stone Henge. Back to the battle of Culloden where through all the hard times and devastation she meets the 'one'. I can't recommend this enough and it's a huge read.

Yes, I have read the book. In the US it is titled "Outlander". I really enjoyed it. Her characters are very developed and believable. You can really lose yourself in the stories of all the characters. I have read all of the books in the series at least twice or more. My husband can't understand why I still giggle at the funny scenes and cry in the touching parts. He says "Haven't you read those already?". But that to me a testament of any great work of fiction. The ability to transport ourselves to new places and become different people if only for an hour or two. I like to forget myself and live only in the story. Diana is a great storyteller. I look forward to the continuation of the series, prequels or spinoffs. I only hope she can hold out.

Yes, I've read the whole series, they're fantastic! It really shows that she has researched that era extensively, it's so easy to get drawn into that world and be able to imagine that you're there. Plus, I now have a whole new appreciation of kilts ;-)

Maybe I'm just gross, but the medical procedures that are described fascinate me. It's really interesting to see how Claire is forced to improvise in a different time.

What would make the series even better for me would be more Jamie and Jenny interraction. I love their relationship. It's so funny to to imagine this little Scottish woman telling off a feared warrior, who, to her is just her little brother-she doesn't treat him with the same kind of reverence that others do.

I loved it. Diana creates a very well researched world. An intriguing dilemma for Clare; great relationships, sex, history, what more could a reader ask for? I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. I do think that they are too long. 'Cross Stitch' could have been edited & I suspect that the other books could benefit from editing too.

Yes, all her books are great though the later ones could do with strict editing as they are much too long. If y ou like them y ou will probably like Sara Donati too
