On standard size charts, not the vanity sizing which has become so popular in the US, a UK size is two sizes larger. 12 UK = 8 US.
The current average size in the US is a 14, which is an 18 in the UK.

The UK 12 is the USA 10.
I think that the average woman's size in America is 16, which would be a UK 18, but I'm not sure about this

It's two sizes smaller in America so would be an 8. I'm a UK 8, US 4... Not sure about what their average size is...

A UK Size 12 is the equivilent of a US size 8.
The average size in America is about a size 14 (US size 18).

I think the sizes are the same, as I'm american just moved to UK to get married. I do know, however, the average size in America, dispite all the anorexic modles, is a size 11.
