Everywhere I look it says that signs of pregnancy give breasts which ache and swell! My breasts have swelled more than usually but I have no aches which I generally do before my period! Does this mean I am pregnant? Plus it is really difficult for me to know when to take a test as my cycle is very long (usually 40 days) and I am at day 24 now.

I also felt generally unwell for 2-3 days and last night I had a dizzy spell with nausea and had to lie down for a few hours.

The problem with my cycle is that before I went on the pill it was 40 days then I came off the pill about 3 months ago and I am not sure how long my cycles are now! So it is a bit difficult to estimate when I ovulate. We have only been trying since the first of December and I had my last period starting on the 27th or the 28th.

If your cycle is around 40 days, then you should be ovulationg any day now.

Some cramping, and some breast tenderness and bloating can be signs of impending ovulation. I myself go through this as well... I have signs that makes me think I'm going to have my period any day soon, and then I don't have for 2 weeks - which means the symptoms I've been feeling is for ovulation.

Swollen breasts doesn't usually start until about 8 weeks into pregnancy or so. It doesn't happen immediately.

I suggest having sex every other day starting today and do it for a week so you can "hit" your ovulation and be finally pregnant 2 weeks from now. Good luck!

i have been pregant 4 times. i never noticed any of the usual signs. i always felt like i did just before my period started. i would feel those cramps and be sure i was about to have my period but it never came. after 5 days of that i would take a home test and they all came out positive. even during my pregnancies i never got morning sickness or any other symptoms. my only advice to you would be that if you are possibly pregnant that you take care of yourself all the time, eat well, don't drink, no drugs. those home tests are very sensitive now and can detect pregnancy very early... so you can try one at 30 days. good luck.

If your cycle is 40 days long and your on day 24 that means you should be ovulating this week. I'd say the symptoms your having are related to that. Good luck!!

unfortunately alot of the symptoms are exactly the same as with your periods, achy boobs, cramps, so its impossible to tell, unless there unusual to you. You do have a long time to wait until you can take atest so why not go to the doctors and see how soon you can have a blood test. I dont know myself as ive never had one to test for pregnancy but it would be worth asking. Im sure ive read that they can detect it quicklier than pt's. Best of luck, hope you dont have to wait to long before you find out!

your breasts can be swelled for other reasons, just make sure you don't have others symptoms of pregnancy, like nauseous, dizziness, sleepiness, or other symptoms.

If your breasts are swollen it means you are due to have your periods, but if your feeling morning sickness like flue, cough, or want to urinate all the time that means you are pregnant
