I heard that the more morgning sickness you have, the healthier your baby is. I am 6 weeks and so scared every pain I have is going to be a miscarriage. I have lost one baby 4 years ago and dont want to ever go through that again. I have not really had any morgning sickness nor feel pregnant other than already showing and wearing mantiterny clothes. I have two other kids but so scared something will go wrong? I dont go back to the doctor till Jan 25, 2007 and I will be 11 weeks. I am scared I will go in and they wont find the heartbeat. So is it tue about the morgning sickness and healthy babies. And with my other two I was sick from day one till they were born. Thanks

I was NEVER sick w/ my son. I had great pregnancy w/ no morning sickness and my son is 100% healthy. So I don't believe that is true at all. :) Good Luck!

There are so many old wives tales regarding pregnancy, and this is one of them. Morning sickness has nothing to do with the health of your baby. I know plenty of mommies with healthy babies that did not experience morning sickness.

I can certainly understand your concern about your baby, especially since you'be lost a baby before. It is okay to be concerned, but there is no reason to worry. As long as you are doing what your doctor has told you to do (pre-natal vitamins, ect..) then that is the best you can do.

Maybe you can ask your doc to schedule your appointments closer together, that way you don't have to go so long between visits worrying.

Also, I did a little research for you and found some fetal baby monitors. You can listen to your baby's heartbeat ANYTIME you feel concerned. http://www.babybeat.com/

The reason for the sickness is high levels of hcg, the pregnancy hormone. But people do have healthy pregnancies without morning sickness. I was not sick at all with my first two, and terribly sick with my last. So try not to worry (silly thing to say to a pregnant woman). Every pregnancy is different. Good luck!

Please don't worry every pregnant is different.
i have 2 kids. my first pregnancy i did not feel any different at all (no morning sickness, drowsiness or anything) I actually strted to feel like i am pregnant when the baby started moving, and I had a healthy boy.
My second was a girl & i still did not get any morning sickness but i was very emotional & had mood swings like crazy & i had an even healthier bigger baby than my first.
so don't worry & try to relax the more you fret the more nervous you get & that is not good for you.

Morning sickness has nothing to do with it. However, YOUR mental health can affect your physical health. Your best move would be to try to relax and not worry. Just take care of yourself. Everyone's pregnancy is different. If your belly is growing, there is a good chance your baby is growing. Don't forget your vitamins. If you are really worried, call your doc's office and tell him/her that you need to move the appointment up because of another commitment that conflicts. Or, just be honest and tell them you are very worried and you feel this is a high risk pregnancy because of your previous miscarriage. If they won't work with you, find another doc. Another option is taking a preg tests. Those tests are looking for hormones that might not be there if the baby is not growing anymore. Good luck. Try to stop worrying.

Sounds like an old wives tale to me.

Every pregnancy is different. You cannot compare one to another.
Sometimes you just get so lucky and don't get the morning sickness I had the worst- morning, noon and night sickness - could not keep anything down other than saltine crackers and gingerale for about 3 months - then it subsided.

Please rest your heart and stop stressing out - that is damaging to you and to the baby. I am sure everything will be okay. Don't worry yourself.
