Smell it. (Like people have said)
If it's in a shoe or a jacket, on the inside or on the bottom of the shoe it will most likely say "made in Italy" because they like to advertise it if it's made of real leather. Also, it will probably be at least twice the price if it's real.
But a good fake leather isn't the end of the world, either. If you have to go through a lot of "tests" to determine whether it's real or fake, chances are no one else will know either.

if you read the label , that should tell you, if its real it will say the materials is 100% leather. leather also has a smell which can tell you straight away. good quality leather smells sweet and clean, real leather has flaws in it for eg cracks in the leather.
leather has a softer feel , fake leather will feel rougher and not as smooth.

Umm really you just have to kno what you are dealing with. If you havent previously owned reall lea ther than you probbly need to consult someone. But once you get around it, you kno exactly what your looking for/

real one has a uniqe smell
and it won't get in flame if u tried to burn it :D
lol but the last one could put u in jail in 2 weeks
