Wait, idk, your question should be what ARE the main beliefs in Daoism? Daoism(aka Taoism) "advocates contentment with the existing status quo and holding few desires and a return of human society to the primeval state characterized by a small nation and a sparse population."
There are still many individuals directly or indirectly influenced by the wisdom of the Daoists. I hope this sheds some enlightenment. Try reading Zhuang zi (Chuang tzu) THEN Lao zi (Lao tzu).

In China? lol, partial in Vietnam ( thats where I am from) but not alot
hmmmm I dont think they "believe" or "pratice" in Daoism or Taoism
because they are philosophy....hmm to me the more correct term to use it is "Follow and Study"
