I want to calculate a percentage of something on my calculator but I dont know how for example if I want to calculate 45% of 300 on my calculator, what are the sequence of buttons that I have to press, like press 45 then the Percentage sign etc., please help very important.

First you will hit the decimal key . then 45 which gives .45 which is the calculators equivalent of 45% then multiply X it times 300 then you should have your answer.

45% means 45/100 and of in the mathematical sentence means *{multiply}.so it is 45/100 * 300 .the procedure is you press the following buttons 45-*-300-/-100 and then = the answer(135)will appear on the screen(- means space)

Hmm... seeing that i dont have a visual of your caculator, you could try to adopt the following tenchinque.
=>> If you want to calculate 45% of 300, type in the following:-
First Type 45
Then Divide it by 100 (to convert to percentage)
Then multiply it by 300.
And voila.. your answer... ^_^

you would put in 300 then times it by .45. Then you will get an answer to that, and that answer will be the money (or whatever) you'll save. So remember the answer and then subtract it from 300, and then you'll get your answer to 45% off of 300.

.45 times 300 ....when multiplying a number times a percent , move the decimal place twice to the left e.g. 45% =.45
75%=.75
