Do you believe that if mothers gave birth to big babies that the babies are more likely to become overweight or obese then ones that weren't big babies.

I don't think it's true, because I was born a big chubby baby, 10.5lbs(I was 2weeks late at birth) and sure at age 5 I still had baby fat but by the time I was 8 it was all gone and now i'm...

My son was huge by the time he was 5 months old. He was over 20 lbs and over 27 inches long. He is now 7 and a half and skinny as a rail :) All of my kids were big babies but they are all quite thin now. I don't think it really matters how big you were at birth as far as being overweight as an adult goes. You look pretty thin to me. Just eat healthy and exercise and you will live a long healthy life.

It's all genetic and how the person lives their life as they get older.
I was a small baby (6lbs) and I'm not exactly skinny now as an adult.
My son was almost 9lbs at birth and he's thin as a rail now.

I think anyone who is already worrying about whether their child will be obese or not before the child has even had it's first meal needs to get a life. In fact, I think anyone who worries about it before their child hits puberty ( unless the child is really obese and the child is having health problems) has a serious problem and they obsess to much.

Nope, don't believe that. Newborns are supposed to be chubby, they need the fat for brain development.

People should worry about excessively fat children, not babies.
