I know what you are trying to say.

Personally, the answer is no. But I do know people who have
been and who continue to be.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!

Anyone from the ages of 13 - 30 today are completely influenced by others. The media in particular. Girls no longer want to look like themselves...they NEED to look like someone else. The bully mentality in schools shows that both the bully and the bullied are influenced by someone or something. It would appear that individuality is no longer embraced...and thoughts, self images and lifestyles are completely influenced by others. Sad, huh?

They certainly influence us at an emotional level, I mean how many times did someone annoy you so much the all you wanted to do is chop his/her head off?
As for mental, maybe if it were a great trauma it could change the way we think or feel, or just a mental breakdown.

Everyday. Road rage is a good example. Do you feel good mentally after someone almost kills you on your way to work because they drive like, well you know, crap. In a lot of cases the people driving crazy aren't even late for work, they just normally drive like idiots.

Not too sure what you mean by that...

I have been influenced many times in my life by older people I was respecting and admiring...
In later years...as I got older myself...I realised that none of those people were any better than me...

Many people are easily influence by their friends in doing things they would not normally do.

If you haven't already read this book by Robert Cialdini, you'll be very entertained by it. He has some good insight into social influence and (in the extreme), cultic phenonmenon.
