I keep seeing the infomertial for that Bare Minerals makeup - anyone out there use it? Do you like it?
The infomercial has me hooked, but it's expensive, and I'd like to make sure I'm not paying for something that sucks before buying...

Luckily, there are now some more inexpensive products to use that are just like Bare Minerals. It does take a couple of days to get used to how to apply it, but it looks really good once you get it down. The hardest part for me is mixing the foundation shade so it matches right. Just remember this: if your face looks chalky, the shade is too light, and if it looks like a mask, the shade is too dark. It's easy to correct though.

I get my mineral make up from "Smoky Mountain Minerals" off of eBay. Here is a link to a good starter kit:

It's only about $20 + shipping for a 12-piece kit. I love the product, and I recommend it highly.

I love it. I have been using for a little over a year now. At first I was unsure because it is a powder, but after a week or so I was sold. I now use the skin rev-er upper underneath the foundation and at night before bed. I can definitly tell the difference in my skin...it is much improved. You can get it a little cheaper on ebay. I started off with just the Foundation, Mineral Veil and the brush. One container lasted me about 9-10 months, but I anly wear make-up 4-5 days per week. Good luck!!!

I've used every mineral makeup there is. let me tell you, it's great if you don't want to get acne, or if you have really really sensitive skin. other then that it's a waste of money. If you want to know if you got the real stuff you take a little bit of the mineral makeup you putt it in water if it stays floating then you got the real thing. Because mineral makeup is not supposed to mix with your body oils. that's why it doesn't cause a irritation.

I love it! I'm not a make-up wearer as a matter of course but it is easy to use, looks and feels great. I bought a sample set off of ebay to give it a try before I invested in the bigger jars. Sephora stores and Ulta carry it if you don't want to order it from the infomercial. You can check www.bareminerals.com for a location near you.

I use bare minerals and it works great! I wouldn't reccommend it for someone who wants to find something that would cover extreme acne or dark spots. It is great at enhanceing your natural beauty. Worth the money.

I used to use it until some of the other companies like loreal started coming out with something very similar and a lot less expensive. It is nice but, if your not used to it, it will take some time getting used to the look of it and how to apply it properly so it does look good.

I felt the same way...I went to a store called ULTA, they sell it, let the make-up artist do their little mini make over using it... I have to say, I did NOT like it on. I looked to fake and caked on to me. I don't know, maby she was just not good at it. But you can buy a starter kit at that store for $60, use it a while and return it if you don't like in within 30 days for a refund. FYI... She then tried a make up on me called STUDIO GEAR and I really did like it, I have pruchased that twice now. Happy Hunting!!!
P.S. if you don't have and ULTA, you can go to the web site.

I know a couple people who have tried it and said that is was very good. What I would do is buy some use it for a while and find something very similar that you can get anywhere for less money. If you do get it you are defiantly getting your moneys worth.

Hope I helped! Have a very Merry Christmas!
