Different mp3 players work in different ways. iPods for example are recharged through the USB cord in the computer or the adapter thing you can plug into the wall. Other mp3s are charged either the same way or just plain old fashioned through batteries. Is that what you mean or do you mean serious technical "how dos it work"?

to change the battery of an iPod, you have to send it back to the manufacturer cuz as you can see, there are no screws or buttons to press to get the battery out. sometimes, if you take it to you local apple store, they might just replace it with a new one. they did that with mine.
about other mp3 players, i'm not sure. i think on them there is a screw or button you press to take the battery out.

to charge the ipod all you do is to have either a car charger (the one you put into the cigarette lighter) or an ipod adaptor, this one plug into an "American" socket. if your going to a different country, you going to have to get an international adaptor for that country. check your local walmart or target store for that.

It quite relies upon on what style of MP3 participant you have. The 'vast' ones like iPod and 2 Sony ones have them, verify the Apple save or a suitable purchase for those. in case you have a miles less nicely often happening/often happening one, you're quite basically going to ought to seem around. attempt convey your participant into the save with you and asking a salesman

You can charge iPods several ways:

1. via the FireWire or USB cord that comes with your iPod and plugs into the computer

2. via the Power Adapter, a box shaped plug-in device. It has a USB port for you to plug in your USB cord into your iPod, then into the power adapter.

3. via 3rd party chargers, like ones that plug into your car's cigarette lighter, or battery powered ones.
