Old people and young people often share tastes in movies on the classic types of films. Either that, or in the ones that get awards. As for adults and young people, they basically like to watch the same types of things, except that kids are more likely to watch stupid flicks and stuff.

Of course, there are some exceptions. For example, my grandma LOVES the Hannibal films. Weird...

I think it depends if you are young at heart. I like watching "kiddies" movies like Cars and The Lion King.
My Parents love 'em as well. They really enjoyed Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.
I'm 26 and I sometimes still like to watch "old" movies. The Sound of Music is fairly old, but it is one of my fav classics.
So, I think if you are a parent with your children / teenagers living at home, you will watch the same kinds of movies. Basically because you infuence one another without knowing.

My son(young) like to watch the old horror movie classics such as Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolfman, etc, with me(old)!

some do it just depends on the individuals taste. tho most older ppl dont like the movies today bcuz there is so much profanity in them
