Stress affects when you ovulate, which affects when you have your period. So if you were stressed 2 weeks ago and your body chose not to ovulate yet, you would not have your period until about 10-14 days after you ovulate. However, negative home pregnancy tests are not always 100% accurate - contact Planned Parenthood and they can do a pregnancy test for you as well as give you information on how to keep this from happening again. Also, check out www.tcoyf.com for the name of a book that can help you learn when your body is most fertile so you can avoid having sex during that time. Having sex carries with it the responsibility of knowing that you could potentially become pregnant - no birth control is 100% effective except abstinence - and the biological purpose of sex is to reproduce. I urge you to be extra careful, even in the heat of the moment, and do everything in your power not to conceive a child if you are not ready to raise a child. Good luck, I will be thinking about you!

If your period doesn't come in the next few days, I would call your doctor and have them order a blood test for you.
But, there are a lot of things that can screw up your "mensies". Stress is a BIG one. Heck, even working with a new girl or hanging out with a new girl can throw your cycle off...it does mine all the time. So give it a few days to see if it shows up and if not, call the Dr. All the worrying in the world isn't going to do a lick of good. And you can't convince him you're NOT pregnant since your late because you're not even sure yourself. If you don't want to wait a few days, get the blood test ASAP and find out NOW.
Good luck!

Explain to him how accurate the pregancy tests you can take at home are nowadays....they measure even the smallest ammounts of HCG (the pregnancy horomone) in your urine, and can be taken at any time of day. They are nearly 99% accurate once you miss your period.
However, if you really want to be 100% sure you need to go see a dr for a blood test. Remember, the tests are accurate but your body might not be...for instance, you may have ovulated later than usual which would make you have a longer cycle. The only sure way to know is to get a blood test, alhtough you are most likely fine.

Go with him to a Gynocologist and have the Dr. administer the pregnancy test. My wife and I were both fooled by negative pregnancy tests with both of our children. 1. you may have been nervous and messed up when you took it. You have to pee directly on the test strip with your first urine of the morning. 2. Dr.s are more experienced at this and have better quality testing strips. They administer the exam by you filling a cup full of urine and they hold the test strip in the cup for several minutes. The results are more conclusive than home tests. Also, the strip has a more accurate reading, so it doesn't have to be your first urine of the morning. Good luck, and if you hope that you are pregnant, I wish you the best with a healthy baby, if you hope that you aren't pregnant, I wish you the best there too. It is best if you go with your boyfriend to check this out with your Dr. though and do some good counselling with him/her about ways to better avoid these nerve racking situations. Good Luck and God's speed.
Dougie.

It may actually be a bit soon to tell by a normal pregnancy test whether you are or aren't. I suggest you go to the doctors. take b/f with you if necessary, and get a blood test done. You should have a better idea after this. Good luck with the boyfriend, no matter the outcome.

It could be too early for the test to show accurate results. You could still be pregnant. If he wants to not worry, get on the pill or use a condom.

Having your intercourse so many times in the past month can ruin your designated time of your ovulation. Try explaining that to him! Also, if he still feels uncomfortable go see your gynecologist and/or doctor!
good luck to his finals and good luck with your problem!
