I want to leave my partner but things are complicated he has supported me in the last 5 years becuase I am raising our children so I have no real means to get my life started again especially with two little children. I believe that he is cheating on me but have no real evidence except that he leads a bachelors lifestyle. He doesn't seem to care about his family even though I care for his elderly father, how do I leave without feeling guilty for leaving his father in the lurch.

See a Legal Aid counselor and start the proceedings for child support. Move back with your parents temporarily until the money starts coming in and then get a Section 8 apartment of your own. His father is his responsibility, not yours. He's using you as live-in help, you deserve better.

It's your life, do what you want to do. His Dad will understand. Get proof of his cheating then start again. It's not impossible.
