I mean when do they start and when do they end and what are they for?
You know like in the song "on the first day of chrismas, my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree....etc"

On the first day you do a little shopping. On the second some more...and you continue on to the twelfth till your credit cards are maxed out and your crying from all the presents you have to wrap and lug over to ungrateful people .

Christmas day if the first day of Christmas and January 5th is the 12th day of Christmas, most people consider Boxing day to be the first day of Christmas thus making January 6th the 12th day of Christmas.

First day of Xmas is Xmas Day - Twelfth day is otherwise known as Twelfth Night, and I think it's Jan 6th.

they start 12 days b4 christmas, end on christmas day, and there is no use..
