Yesterday I had my radiator replaced & then my car began to overheat. Once I got it home. I had the thermostat changed. Then I drove it later in the evening once I turned the heat on it began to overheat and I had to pull over & park my car until it coold off enough for me to drive it home. As I was driving it home without the heat on the temperature began to drop very slightly.

Several sources of the problem could be present. Given the crazy weather lately in the country could be if you are in a cold spell weather wise. The coolant may be too low or not strong enough to deal with the cold weather.

Check your oil level to make sure you have enough oil in the engine. Have your anti-freeze checked to make sure it's strong enough. It could be freezing up if you are living in a cold climate area.

Also have the water pump checked to see if it's working and or the belts checked to see that they are not slipping,

You may have a faulty radiator hose, they can look fine on the outside but be collapsed on the inside and restricting coolant flow. If they feel soft and spongy they are bad. Look for the simple things first and you will almost always find the problem

I think that I would look at the head gasket or look at the heater core. If you have not had your cooling syster flushed out there could be allot of corrosion and lime in your heatercore. Now the head gasket. If there is something wrong with that I would get that changed as fast as you can. It will cost quite a bit, but still it will probably not fail you again!

What about the water pump? Also check the belt... Best advice is to trade in that piece of crap Chrysler and get a real car!

My guess is that the coolant level is low. When the coolant was replaced they didn't wait long enough for the thermostat to open and the fluid level is to low. Check that first.

Could be one of two things, you have a cracked head on the car or your heater core is getting ready to go up! Or it could be something as simple as a sensor. Good Luck
