I agree with the above answer. A severe panic attack. I get them too, but only when faced with an uncontrollable "issue". My heart would race, I would get sweaty, yet be cold. I would think the most awful thoughts. I took meds for a while but now I am trying to handle them myself. You need to talk to a doctor. Your episode was beyond anything I have had. Gosh, I wish you the best of luck. That must of been horrible.

At night when i'm asleep i have about the samething happen to me. My hands'legs'feet'and mychest start hurting me. I also get shortness of breath when it is bab enough at times. When that happens to me i pray for some kind of relife and think happy thoughts. I had talked to my doctor about it and she said that i was having mild panic attacks and stressed out. Talk to you'r family doctor about you'r problem and see what they say it could be. Good Luck and Feel Better Soon.

This is a flight or fight panic attack. You have to figure out what frightened you and have a plan for handling your fear. When your mind cannot decide what to do your body freezes. If these attacks continue to happen on a regular basis for no reason see your doctor.

My neighbor felt the same way when she saw Santa Claus in only a Hanes brief when she was a child. It frightened her! I think your body was just responding to fear. Occassionally when I fall asleep at night- only after a few minutes of falling asleep I jump because something startled me-and I don't know what it was- then I awake. It's like a night terror.

I've had that happen to me. My doctor told me, that it's called sleep paralysis. Type in Sleep Paralysis in your search bar and see if the symtoms they list, describe what you are experiencing. You should be able to find lot's of information there! Good Luck!

After watching the movie Jeepers Creepers, I was in that same state. I didn't realize that it would suck so bad....You may have put yourself in a mild state-of-shock from panic. Calm down my dear. It'll be ok
