I experience slow browsing on my internet explorer. I reinstalled internet explorer, cleaned my computer of viruses and even reinstalled XP but it didn't work! I thought that there was a problem with the internet connection speed itself, but when I connected my internet connection to another computer I came to know that it wasn't the problem of internet connection but is a problem in my computer. SO, please help !!

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

You reinstalled your OS because IE was running slow? Well that's a little over zealous. Anyway, try clearing your cache and cookies. Then restart your computer. If that does not help, run a virus scan. Also, run an spyware program. If both of these turn up empty try installing the latest version of IE. If all else fails download Firefox at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.

Does something of the internet Connection paintings, working example does AVG replace or messenger connect? completely trustworthy a loath IE and have got here upon maximum situations that Firefox basically works. you may desire to attempt reinstalling IE from the residing house windows factors in upload / get rid of programmes yet whilst that did no longer installation properly the 1st time then i could ask your self with regard to the entire installation. something that asserts "save" or "open", and you do no longer comprehend what that's then it relatively is the line to residing house windows purgatory.

Your IE might have used much Add-on's. Follow steps given below to Disable them !
Tools >> Internet Options >> Programs >> Manage Add-ons

Now from "Show" dropdown box choose only what you require and disable rest! (Do with caution. If u r not sure about something, leave it as it is!)

And Click OK and again OK

Close IE and restart it. That's it!

njoy !!!

Maybe you need to add more memory because you may have a lot of programs running....OR you may need a faster processor. Right click on my computer and go to properties and see how much RAM you have as well as the speed of the processor - you may wanna upgrade to 512 mb of RAM

Pls give me examples of webpages you visit. (I'll re-answer this after you add details)
-If the website has many images, it WILL really take long.
-I.E. would take long even on Broadband Connection because it would DOWNLOAD images and the webpage when you enter it. (don't worry, it is on your temporary folder)
- Maybe I recommend you to use Firefox 2.0.0.1 on firefox.com
