I hate models. What do you think?

I hate models for skin care products, fashion, makeup, beauty products, etc. What do you think?

Seeing them causes me to have a low self-esteem.

I'm not jealous of the very skinny models. Very skinny isn't healthy. I'm only jealous of the models with the close-to-perfect face! I also like the hourglass figure.

Then you're putting too much importance on them. Hate is such a strong emotion, and takes too much time and effort. Try to ignore them. They aren't doing anything to you.
As for your self esteem, that has to come from the inside. If you had plenty of confidence, then seeing the models, no matter what they looked like, wouldn't bother you.
Trying to hold yourself to the same standards isn't realistic. These women represent the less than 1% of the population that meet the criteria the agencies look for. These models aren't meant to look like the "average" woman you'd see on the street. They are supposed to look like a "fantasy" or "perfect' woman to entice you to buy the product they are modeling. The companies want you to think that if you use their *whatever* you will look like that.
You can't compare yourself to the models any more than you could compare yourself to actresses, singers, and other celebrities who have their own personal assistants to help them pick out clothes, do their hair and makeup, and tell them how to walk, talk, act, etc.... to look their best. If you were to run into any of these people on a normal day, you'd see someone who doesn't look half as glamorous as they do in their pictures.

I think you should not hate anyone! I understand what you mean though.
You see a model wearing a wonderful outfit, who has perfect makeup and hair and wonder how they could every really need the product they are trying to sell you.
Just remember that they are only human and they are not perfect either! They put their pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us and they have to eat and sleep just like we do.

its normal when some people gets jealous because someone who seems to be better than them gives them low self-esteem. i used to hate a girl in my school because she was tall but i was short. then she became a model and i hated her even more. but i coped up with that. i love being short now (cos its hot!) we short girls can do things taller girls cant do. now i have a few model friends. and no i dont hate them, they dont give me low self-esteem even if i was the shortest one in the crowd. i just feel that i'm just as good as they are, or even better.

p.s. lots of models dont have great skin like you see in the magazines. they look pretty in there because of the lighting and retouch techniques.

I think you should focus on the things you feel good about. What makes you feel good? Try doing something that your family and freinds can do with you. Learn to play a musical instrument.
Get on a sports team. Join an after-school activity.

Stop worrying about models. Be yourself.

I don't hate them but I disagree with their concept about life for many reasons
1-I don't like the fact that they are using their appearance to get money ..this is very shallow .....
2- They are putting standards for physical beauty and those standards are unreachable most of the time , even they themselves are having psychological and medical problem ..who said skeleton lady is beautiful ,i think healthy lady is better ..
3- they are emphasizing the use of women sexually in media which i don't like

A small, cheap imitation of the real thing. Mostly plastic.

i don't like the way they act or react, u must know that most of them r suffering either anorexia or bulemia nervosa(as princess diana), i have read few days ago on msn news that a brazilian model died of starving herself as she ate only lettuce in her meals, imagine on death she weighed 39 kiloes!!!! and she was about 175 cm tall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine her body mass index!!!!!!!!! most of them suffer anemia , skin and hair problems,and they die of heart failure ,renal and liver dysfunction, so don't try to be jealous of them they r moving statues hidden under tons of cloth and cosmetics, or even don't try to imitate them to get a perfect body then u will get a bed in the hospital instead, be ur self and ever never to compare urself with any model,remember u have gifts they don't have as eating and sleeping in a healthy way.

i don't like them. they are too proud of themselves thinking they have nice figure and look. my opinion on them is that they are dumb. come on, if i were to go into modelling, people would have commented the same on me. this is how the world works.

seeing them makes me more confident.
