If your having it done at James Paget hospital in Gt Yarmouth by Mr. Studly then don't, he stuck me with a knife without seeing if I was numb twice before getting it right on the third time. It was not a nice experience & I never got an an appology. I think if its done by a competant doctor its ok.

My hubby had it done 15 years ago. I vaguely remember him saying something about the smell of burning flesh but he came through without a hitch. Not having to worry about another pregnancy makes it all worth while.

Had it, no regrets. Just make sure you use something to ease the swelling after the procedure- an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas or whatever.

mine is one the schedule for this month, haven't talked to anyone with regrets yet. not even the guy who worked the next day when he wasn't supposed, strained himself and swelled like baseballs and he only had local anesthesia, nothing to sedate him, only to deaden the surgical site

I had it done about 20 years ago - it was no big deal. However make sure that you tell the wife of the sheer hell that you went through on her behalf :-)

if you want to make that decision, go ahead. personally i dont think i would ever do it. however, id recommend going to a sperm bank so you can store some sperm in case you want more kids again - you never know what will happen.
