So Islam is a peaceful religion is it? That teaches tolerance to others. Show a few cartoons and you get thousands marching through London dressed as suicide bombers with placards saying 'death to all non believers' etc... The Islamic community can make a rod for its own back by not bringing these people in line. Get a member of the BNP in a pub, he says one sentance denoucing Islam and he gets arrested for it. So I agree with you its okay for every one else to slag Americans, (or British) off. But say anything against Muslims ... Get a life.

America is a country, whereas Islam is a religion. Plus America(well its leaders) have done nasty things to the majority of the world!! It was a bunch of extremists that shook the world on 9/11 not the world of Islam, Muslim's have taken enough brutality from the western countries (i live in Britiain, i am white and Buddhsit) so it is about time they got a break!!i know many Muslim's and there message is clear love and compassion not terror and fear!
no one should be slagging anyone off!!is it not about time that we realised that we are all the same, striving for happiness!!

No, however Americans aren't likely to get into a car and plane and blow themselves up along with other people either.
I think it's also because they don't consider being an American a "religion" like Islam. Too many people have forgotten 9/11 and the thousands of people of different nationalities and countries that died that day.
Don't let it get to you. Just keep on asking the questions if you wish.

That's yahoo, they censor this site. Your right, I have read questions that are blatantly oppressive and abusive towards Americans, Gay's, Jews and us white middle class British, but mention anything against Muslims and your deleted.

Rember the YA team are thick, as are most of the busy bodies who report on here.
If you word your question to sound a little academically minded then they wont notice.
Such as; I recent times Anti-American sentiment has grown with little public interest in interfereing with this freedom of expression, whilst intolerance against any faith, race or sex is nover justified, why then is there a seemingly stronger retaliation against anti-Islamic rhetoric than anti-american rhetoric?
