Resident Evil 4
No question...one of the finest games ever created.
Saying that, I plugged my PS2 back in last night to play Burnout 3 and after being spoiled by HD and wireless on my 360 I felt a bit sad. You are right...the PS2 draws to a close but it's been a super console :-)

Because Resident Evil 4 is on the Gamecube & really is a gamecube game.
I would say Shadows of the Collusus this is an exclusive PS2 game.

1. Pro Evolution - I have had all of them since 3 and had hours and hours of fun on my own and with my friends these games just can't get old.
2. Gran Turismo 3 + 4 - I spent to long on both of these games completing 92% of 3 and 55% of 4 which is still alot.
3. Gran Theft Auto - Although San Andreas game play was unbelievable i prefered Vice City just because it was so much more fun.

Tiger Woods 2004 is the game that I have played the most. So addictive and versatile I dont ever get bored with it.
I liked Grand theft auto also.

Not sure if it was for PS2, but Mercenaries: Playgrounds of Destruction is, IMHO, one of the best games ever designed.
